Ukraine: Royal Navy intelligence ship HMS Echo enters Odessa port
A British Royal Navy multi-role hydrographic survey ship HMS Echo entered the port of Odessa and anchored there on Thursday.
The vessel is supposed to stay in the port for several days, before taking part in drills with Ukrainian frigate Hetman Sahaydachniy.
The move comes after UK Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson and his Ukrainian counterpart Stepan Poltorak agreed in November that the HMS Echo would be deployed to the Black Sea in 2019 to support Ukraine.
