
Ukraine: Court upholds decision to keep RIA editor Vyshinsky in custody
The Kherson City Court upheld a previous decision to keep RIA Novosti Ukraine's Editor-in-Chief Kirill Vyshinsky in custody until 28 December, dismissing an appeal lodged by the journalist’s lawyer, in the Ukrainian city on Tuesday.
At the beginning of November, the Kherson City Court had ruled that Vyshinsky's detainment should be extended by 54 days until December 28.
The RIA journalist is being held on suspicion of treason, which carries a prison sentence of up to 15 years.
