Mexico: Border police conduct large-scale drills at Tijuana crossing
Traffic was halted for half an hour at the border crossing between Tijuana and Otay Mesa on Saturday, as agents of the Office of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) carried our security exercises.
Police officers in full riot gear can be seen marching in front of the border in formation before they carry out drills, which included the setting off of multiple tear gas cannisters.
The drills come as a show of force in the wake of the arrival of the caravan of mostly Central American migrants, who are attempting to gain entry seek asylum in the United States.
