Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia was ready to restore dialogue with the USA concerning the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF Treaty), speaking in Paris on Sunday while attending the commemorations marking the centenary of the end of First World War.
"We are ready for dialogue because it is not us who is withdrawing from Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty. It is the Americans who plan it. They and we are ready to restore the dialogue," the Russian leader said.
The Russian leader also said French President Emmanuel Macron's call for a European army is "a positive process from a perspective of multilateral world strengthening".
Putin is in Paris along with 60 other world leaders to participate in the official commemorations of the 100th anniversary of the Armistice, the ceasefire signed at Compiegne on November 11, 1918 ending the World War I.
