      USA: Police respond to 'suspicious items' found in Trump Tower NYC

      bomb squads and police vans were seen outside Trump Tower in Manhattan, New York City on Friday, after a number of unattended 'suspicious items' were found inside the building.

      Police vans and barriers were seen on Fifth Avenue as the streets around the skyscraper were temporarily closed.

      According to an police spokesperson George Tsourovakas, 'the suspicious items have been deemed safe by the NYPD Bomb Squad.'
