
Russia: Putin discusses World Cup 2022 with Qatari Emir
Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, in Moscow on Sunday.
The 2022 World Cup in Qatar was the main topic of discussion.
"I know that you, your colleagues and subjects will do everything to hold the next 2022 World Cup at the highest level," Putin said.
"There are about 200 Qatari specialists, members of the 2022 organizing committee are in Russia now and work with their Russian colleagues," Sheikh Tamim said, adding "I want to thank you for this opportunity and for opening all the doors for us by our Russian friends."
