The rescued youth football team and their coach were filmed in a hospital ward in Chiang Rai on Wednesday, where they started their recovery after being freed from a cave.

The mission to free the young players started on July 8 and has only just been completed, with the last four of the boys and their coach being safely evacuated today after being trapped for more than two weeks.

The team of 12 boys and their 25-year-old coach entered the cave as part of an excursion but became trapped after a sudden, continuous downpour of rain flooded the underground area.

They were found alive after a 10-day operation carried out by Thai forces and international rescue teams.
