SOT, football fan (English): "Russian people are beautiful people. Thank you for your welcome. Thank you for your hat. And, we hope, that Arsenal beats CSKA Moscow. Spasibo bolshoe [Thank you very much in Russian]."

SOT, Reporter (English): "Why do you think is it important?"

SOT, football fan (English): "Important? It is important to be friends between Russia and England, and the UK."

British fans were presented with Ushanka-hats as the students of Moscow’s CSKA junior football school warmly welcomed them just before the quarterfinal match between England's Arsenal and Russian CSKA in Moscow, Thursday.

"Russian people are beautiful people. Thank you for your welcome. Thank you for your hat," said one British Arsenal fans, adding that "it is important to be friends between Russia and England, and the UK.”

"Very good. People have been very friendly, they have been helping us on the metro when we look lost and pointed us in the right direction. So, yes, very good," commented another British fan on his experience in Russia.

In total, 100 fans were gifted with the Russian-made grey winter hats with an inscription reading "Russian Warm Welcome."

It is not the first time that the students of the CSKA junior school have met with British fans to welcome them with presents. Last year, Manchester United fans received some very useful souvenirs from the young football players – raincoats.
