
USA: Rescue workers free vehicles from under collapsed bridge
Rescue workers began recovering vehicles from under the collapsed bridge near Florida International University (FIU) in Miami-Dade before dawn on Saturday.
According to local media, emergency services removed two crushed vehicles before 7 am local time. Authorities said that there are no more survivors in the catastrophe, apart from the six declared deaths.
The bridge destroyed at least eight vehicles after collapsing. Rescue workers have spent almost two days trying to break through the concrete to reach the vehicles in order to identify the victims and finish the death count.
