
Spain: Trial of suspected Russian organised crime members begins in Madrid
The trial of 18 suspected members of the ‘Tambovskaya’ Russian criminal group began at the Spanish National Court on Monday.
The presumed advisors and collaborators of the leaders of the accused organisation will be tried on charges of illicit association and money laundering. The Tambovskaya group has been reportedly active in Spain since 1996.
Presumed heads of the network Gennadios Petrov and Alexander Malyshev will not be among those tried, having fled from justice along with seven other Tambovskaya members.
