
Russia: Keel-laying ceremony held for Yasen M-Class submarine in Severodvinsk
A keel-laying ceremony was held for the new Yasen-M-Class submarine at the Sevmash shipyard in Severodvinsk on Friday.
The submarine was named Ulyanovsk, with its laying-in making it the sixth multipurpose nuclear submarine of its kind.
Deputy Commander of Russian Navy Vice-Admiral Viktor Barsuk and first Deputy Chairman of the government of the Ulyanovsk region Andrei Tyurin were both in attendance.
