
Iraq: Shrapnel holes and bloodied vests at IS suicide attack site in W.Mosul's Al-Nadjjar
Shrapnel-riddled cars and blood-stained vests were filmed on the site of the suicide bomb attacks carried out by three members of the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) on a street barricade in the recently liberated district of Al-Nadjjar, West Mosul on Thursday morning.
Two of the IS bombers were shot by forces of the Iraqi Federal Police Unit 2, Brigade 20, before they could carry out their attack. The third member blew himself up, killing two members of the Federal Police and seriously injuring a third.
The district of Al-Nadjjar was liberated one week ago by a joint effort of the Federal Police and ISOF.
