
Mexico: Nieto effigy decimated by fireworks in 'burning the Judas' ceremony
An effigy of Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto was destroyed by fireworks during the traditional 'burning the Judas' ceremony in Mexico City, Sunday. Nieto has faced sustained protests during his time in office, chiefly over corruption scandals.
As well as the president, other effigies were burnt in the city, including that of Mexican politician Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador and drug trafficker Joaquin "el Chapo" Guzman.
