Chile: Argentinian football legend Goycochea presents Confederations Cup in Santiago
Former Argentinian football player Sergio Goycochea presented the Confederations Cup at the National Football Association (ANFP) in Santiago on Friday.
Chile is the fifth country the cup has been shown in since the beginning of the tournament following Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and Portugal.
2017 is the first time Chile will participate in the competition which President of the Chile Football Federation, Arturo Salah described as a "tournament of champions".
Former Argentine goalkeeper, Sergio Goycochea, said that the presentation of the Confederations Cup was particularly enjoyable as it "allows us to travel" and "allows us to be in contact with the world of football“ as well as going "beyond sports achievements".
The Confederations Cup is held every four years and features the champion nations of each of FIFA's confederations. This year's tournament will take place in four cities across Russia with Sochi and Kazan to host matches alongside St. Petersburg and Moscow. Hosts Russia will play New Zealand in the opening game on June 17.
