SOT, Journalist (English): "So do you think that this assassination is a North Korean government action?"

SOT, Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar, Inspector General of Royal Malaysian Police (English): "I will not say that. I am only saying that the cause of his death is by that chemical, ok. So the rest will be the subject of our investigation."

SOT, Journalist (English): "So the kin of Kim Jong will come tomorrow ... ?"

SOT, Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar, Inspector General of Royal Malaysian Police (English): "No, that's not true. There is no arrangement yet. We have requested the North korean embassy to inform the next of kin. So we are still waiting for the North Korean embassy authorities, officials to tell us."

SOT, Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar, Inspector General of Royal Malaysian Police (English): "No, no, no. We will not. We will wait for the next of kin to come, because we need the next of kin to come and identify the body, to identify who is deceased. And we then would like to take the DNA sample from the next of kin."

SOT, Journalist 1 English): "So you need more than [just] the DNA sample, you need the kin to come?"

SOT, Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar, Inspector General of Royal Malaysian Police (English): "Yes, we need the kin to come to collect the samples from the close next of kin."

SOT, Journalist 2, (English): "Are we going to see [inaudible] them on charge of murder"

SOT, Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar, Inspector General of Royal Malaysian Police (English): "Well, it's too early for me to say, because we have not completed our investigation. Let us complete our investigation then we will present a case to the Attorney General for whatever action [inaudible]."

SOT, Journalist 2 (English): "The fact that we have seen the vide, how it was carried out, now you are saying VX. Do you see this as a sinister plot, a kind of assassination plot [from a] country."

SOT, Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar, Inspector General of Royal Malaysian Police (English): "I do not want to come to a conclusion as yet. That is arriving to a conclusion, because the investigation is ongoing, so let us complete the investigation and then we will ..."

SOT, Journalist 2, (English): "It [the investigation] includes the motive as well?"

SOT, Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar, Inspector General of Royal Malaysian Police (English): "Definitely, yes, yes."

Inspector General of Royal Malaysian Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar announced that the chemical which allegedly caused the death of Kim Jong Nam, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's half-brother, was nerve agent "VX nerve agent," during a press briefing in Kuala Lumpur, Friday

Asked whether he thought the death was an assassination by the North Korean authorities, Abu Bakar replied "I will not say that. I am only saying that the cause of his death is by that chemical, ok. So the rest will be the subject of our investigation."

"We have requested the North Korean embassy to inform the next of kin. So we are still waiting for the North Korean embassy authorities, officials to tell us," continued Abu Bakar, adding "we need the next of kin to come and identify the body, to identify who is deceased. And we then would like to take the DNA sample from the next of kin."

Kim Jong-nam is alleged to have been poisoned at Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2), as he was standing in line to board a Macau-bound flight on February 13.
