UK: Protesters march against Trump's 'Muslim ban' in Edinburgh
Protesters took to the streets of Edinburgh on Saturday, to denounce US President Donald Trump's 'Muslim-ban.'
The activists gathered at The Meadows and the marched via Princess Street to Scottish Parliament Building, chanting "Say it loud, say it clear, refugees are welcome here" and "Trump out" on the way. Some held up placards or banners stating "No to racism, no to Trump" and "Our bridges are better than walls."
Trump's executive order banning travellers coming from seven Muslim majority countries from entering the United States has sparked worldwide protests. Since its introduction the decree has been rejected by Federal Court, but the US President is considering other options to maintain the ban, including filing a new order.
