Journalist: "How did the evening go with Theresa May?"

Juncker: "We had no special event with Theresa May yesterday, she was explaining what her intentions are. I will have lunch with her, then we will see what has to happen."

Journalist: "What do you plan to say to her over lunch? What's your key message?"

Juncker: "Are you the British Prime Minister?"

Journalist: "I'm not the British Prime Minister, I'm just from the BBC."

Juncker: "Yeah, yeah, but that makes a difference."

European Union leaders arrived in Brussels, on Friday, October 21, in order to deliver national briefings on the last day of a European Council summit.

The European Council has been discussing the latest developments and progress on migration, views on trade issues and the future of the EU's trade policy; they are also due to hold a debate on Russia, including its role in Syria.

Before the beginning of the meeting, Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite spoke to the press outside the building where she expressed concern over an "increase in tensions" with Russia. She said, "I think for us the main goal today is to de-escalate, especially seeing that the military fleet, war ships, today are going from North and Baltic Seas - Russian fleets - to Syria."

The summit is the first attended by Theresa May since she became British Prime Minister. She was seen entering the summit while speaking to Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.
