Syria: 'Three Days Without War' football documentary premieres in Damascus
The first public screening of the documentary-film 'Three Days Without War' was held in Damascus on Wednesday. The documentary follows the journey of a youth football team from Syria who took part in an international football tournament in Milan, Italy, under a programme sponsored by Russian energy company Gazprom.
Aged 12-14, the boys played in a competition featuring teams from around the world in late May 2016. Their trip was made possible by Gazprom's "Football for Friendship" programme. Slovenia's NK Maribor won the competition outright.
After the tournament the teams got the chance to watch the UEFA Champions League final live in Milan.
