Germany: Hundreds of Kurds march in Bonn against imprisonment of PKK leader
Hundreds of Kurdish activists marched in Bonn, Saturday, to protest against Turkish military aggression in the Kurdish region and to demand the end to the imprisonment of Kurdish leader and founder of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) Abdullah Ocalan.
The protesters waved flags with Ocalan's portrait and carried banners reading "Freedom for Ocalan. Peace in Kurdistan."
Turkey is currently carrying out a major military operation against PKK militants in the country's south-east. The attacks began in July 2015 after a peace process, carried out over the duration of more than two years, aimed at resolving the long-running conflict.
