Around 200 nationalist militants attempted to break up a demonstration held by a Greek Muslim party in the Greek city of Komotini on Sunday, resulting in clashes with the police.

Footage shows police in riot gear firing tear gas protesters and an injured person being taken to safety.

The Greek Muslim party Friendship, Equality and Peace (FEP) organised a rally to commemorate the 21st anniversary of the death of its founder, Achmet Sadik, a native to Komotini and first elected Muslim to the Greek Parliament.
