      Germany: Pro-Kurdish demo rails against detainment of Kurdish prisoners in Berlin

      Scores of pro-Kurdish protesters gathered outside JVA Moabit prison in Berlin, Thursday, to demonstrate against what they see as the political detainment of Kurdish prisoners in German jails.

      Commenting on the protest, one demonstrator said that the demonstration is to give “attention” to the “repression and oppression of the Kurds” which are not just taking place in Turkey. He went on to say that “Erdogan’s long arm reaches all the way to here, to Germany, and that's why we worry for our buddies who sit here in JVA Moabit."
