
France: Germany and Northern Ireland through to next round of Euro 2016
German and Northern Irish fans left Paris' Parc des Princes stadium in content moods, Tuesday, after their teams had both qualified for the knockout stage of the Euro 2016 tournament.
Despite losing the game 1-0, Northern Ireland qualified after finishing as one of the best third-placed teams in the group stages. One Northern Irish fan described his team's performance, commenting "I think we showed our defensive strength and we do not need to be afraid of anybody."
Germany won their group and now will face one of the third placed teams on Sunday in Lille, whereas Northern Ireland will face either France or Wales in the quarter-finals.
