
France: Roving German football fan rides 'cargo' bike from Munster to Paris for EURO 2016
German football fan Helmut Robers arrived in Paris on Sunday after cycling from the German city of Munster, riding a decorative rickshaw style bicycle, the die-hard fan has come to support his national team in the Euro 2016 Cup whilst attracting his own fandom following.
His touring bike which has been decorated with football memorabilia collected from across the globe includes a bundle of toys and German flags. Commenting on why he made the trip, Robers said that his mission coincided with the tournament because "football makes peace for this world."
Robers has already cycled at least 360km (223,6 miles) through Lille and Brussels before arriving in Paris on Thursday to see Germany play Poland.
