Germany: Army showcase latest military drone at Berlin air show
The German Army presented its newest drone, dubbed LUNA NG, at the ILA Berlin Air Show 2016, Wednesday.
The unmanned aerial vehicle is controlled from a truck with the use of a joystick and monitors. It is a reconnaissance drone and part of the Tactical Unmanned Aircraft System of the German Army, with the drone set to deliver data in real time during night and day surveillance flights.
No actual deployments have been announced yet.
The ILA Berlin Air Show consists of a trade exhibition for aerospace and defence industries along with a public airshow. It is held every even year at the new Berlin ExpoCenter Airport near Schoenefeld.
Established in 1909, the event is allegedly the world's oldest air show. The last ILA show was held on May 2014.
