
Armenia: Drone footage captures explosive anti-terror drills
Footage filmed on Thursday shows police and special forces personnel from the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) member states, including Russia and former CIS countries, taking part in the Cobalt-2016 anti-terror drills at Marshal Baghramyan polygon.
A joint combined arms task force including units from Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan took part in the exercises, in which 20 armoured vehicles and military transport helicopters were used.
The exercises aim to improve teamwork skills on combating terrorism and preventing illegal trafficking of weapons, explosives and drugs.
