Armenia: Novak sign 'Energy Corridor' map with Armenia, Georgia, and Iran

Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak arrived in Yerevan for talks with his Armenian, Georgian and Iranian counterparts on Wednesday, later signing a memorandum on cooperation in order to create the North-South shared energy corridor.

The memorandum furthers the ability of each country to work with the Eurasian Economic Union and the European Union’s power systems. The agreement also provides for the management of energy overflows as well as the reliability of supplies and safety.

The high ranking officials also discussed the possibility of close collaboration on energy issues in other areas.
