
Russia: Lavrov touts 'stabilising factor' of Sino-Russian ties
Relations between Russia and China are "are probably in the best form for all previous periods of our common history," Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said during a presser with Mongolian, Japanese and Chinese media in Moscow, Tuesday.
The Russian Foreign Minister praised Russian-Chinese ties saying they "constantly deepen and develop for the benefit of our countries and peoples". Lavrov said that "it is a relationship of strategic cooperation and multifaceted partnership, as the leaders of our countries have assessed its status."
Aside from bilateral issues the Russian diplomat evaluated their relationship and cooperation in the international arena. Lavrov stressed that despite "turbulence in world politics", cooperation between Beijing and Moscow "are a very important stabilising factor".
