
USA: Memorial service for Nancy Reagan held in Santa Monica
A memorial was held for America's former First Lady Nancy Reagan in Santa Monica on Wednesday. Nancy Reagan who died at the age of 94 last Sunday, is due to be taken to the presidential library in Simi Valley where she will be buried on Friday, close to her husband and former US President Ronald Reagan.
Eight Secret Service agents carried her casket and placed it in an awaiting hearse, following the private 20 minute memorial service for close friends and family, which was held earlier on Wednesday.
Nancy Raegen is most remembered for her 'Just Say No' anti-Drugs campaign and for being the face of America's notorious 'War on Drugs.'
The official funeral is set to take place on Friday, in Simi Valley, with former US President George W Bush and Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton expected to attend.
