UK: Violent clashes kick off ahead of Arsenal vs Tottenham match
Violent clashes kicked off ahead of the North London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham outside the White Hart Lane stadium on Saturday.
Rival fans clashed prior to kick off with police having to intervene on horseback. The troubles kicked off prior to the game which saw the two team’s battle it out in the Premiership title race.
The grudge match has been blighted by ongoing trouble in recent years. Metropolitan Police arrested ten Arsenal supporters last September after fans reportedly vandalised part of Tottenham’s stadium following a Capital One Cup tie.
The full time score ended with a 2-2 draw.
