Around 2,000 supporters of the Democratic Front of Montenegro rallied in front of the Montenegrin Assembly in Podgorica on Saturday, while opposition members of parliament announced the continuation of their struggle against the rule of Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic.

Milan Knezevic, the leader of the Democratic People's Party, said "Here are the people who gave you a firm message on September 27 that we will not disperse without having a transitional government which will exclude Milo Djukanovic and this is our condition, and we can negotiate just about that."

The Democratic Front is composed of several opposition parties including the New Serb Democracy (NOVA), Movement for Changes (PzP), Democratic People's Party (DNP), Workers' Party (RP) and the Party of United Pensioners and the Disabled (PUPI). Supporters of the Democratic Front are critical of the ruling Democratic Party of Socialists of Montenegro (DPS), led by the pro-EU Djukanovic, accusing the DPS of corruption and electoral fraud.
