
Turkey: Funeral held for Ankara blast victims
A state funeral was held in Ankara, Friday for the six civil servants and two soldiers who were killed in a suicide bomb attack in the Turkish capital city on Wednesday.
The funeral service was held at the Kocatepe Mosque. Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, and other senior government and military officials were among those who attended the funeral prayer, alongside victims's family members.
Following the funeral prayer, the coffins of the victims were carried by soldiers as part of the state funeral ceremony.
The victims' bodies were then transported to their hometowns for burial.
In total, at least 28 people were killed and 61 wounded in the blast.
