
France: Pro-Kurdish protesters taste tear-gas after 17 arrested in Paris
Several protesters were injured outside the Turkish embassy in Paris on Monday, after security forces forcefully dispersed a demonstration over Turkey's military campaign against the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
Police used teargas and batons to prevent activists from entering the embassy compound. Demonstrators ran from the scene as teargas filled the air around the area near the Seine. 17 of the activists were reportedly arrested during the incident.
