Syria: People's Army commander promises to liberate Syria from foreign intruders
Ali Khalil, commander of the Syria People's Army, promised to bring peace back to Syria, while speaking in northern Latakia's woods in footage that was published on Tuesday.
The people's militia, which involves Syrians of various origins including “Turkmens, Arabs and Alawites,” among others, will “defend” their homeland against the cruelty of those "who support foreign countries, killling their brothers," the commander stated.
He went on to send a clear "No!" to Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, accusing the Turkish leader of violating the territorial integrity of Syria and its people.
The people's militia has been growing rapidly, as hundreds have been reported to join the self-defence-forces daily.
