France: Thousands commemorate three Kurdish women murdered in Paris

Thousands of pro-Kurdish and Kurdish demonstrators from all over Europe marched, Saturday, in Paris to commemorate the three Kurdish militants who were shot dead in Paris on January 9, 2013, in the French capital.

The march started at 10:00 am local time (09:00 GMT) and went from Gare du Nord (North train station) to la Bastille. The protesters were holding Kurdish militia flag and chanted pro-Kurdish slogans.

The protesters came out to commorate three Kurdish women who were found dead with bullet wounds in the Kurdistan Information Centre in Paris on January 10, 2013. The victims were Sakine Cansiz, a co-founder of the Kurdistan Workers' party (PKK); Fidan Dogan, a member of the Kurdistan National Congress based in Brussels; and a young activist, Leyla Soylemez.
