
Germany: Christmas Eve arson attack hits planned refugee centre
The under construction refugee hostel in Schwabisch Gmund, at the Baden-Wuerttemberg state was massively damaged after a suspected arson attack hit the facility on Thursday night.
The fire brigade acted immediately and the fire damaged only some wooden surfaces of the building. According to local authorities, the €20,000 ($21.900) value damage will not affect the construction of the building which is expected to be completed by spring 2016 and will be able to host up to 120 people.
