Bulgaria: Ataka supporters protest against Turkish PM's visit to Sofia
Hundreds of supporters of the Ataka party rallied outside the Bulgarian parliament in Sofia, Tuesday, to protest against the state visit of Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu. Davutoglu is in Sofia to hold bilateral talks with Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and President Rosen Plevneliev.
During the rally the chairman of Ataka, Volen Siderov, condemned the downing a Russian Su-24 by Turkey on November 24. "We can’t accept this to happen anymore, because the strike against Russia, is a strike against the Orthodox community all over the world," Siderov said.
The protesters were joined by deputies from the Bulgarian socialist party (BSP) who laid flowers at the monument of Tsar Liberator in protest against Davutoglu's visit.
