Ukraine: US Vice President Biden meets with Poroshenko in Kiev
US Vice President Joe Biden met with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in Kiev on Monday, a day after arriving in the country.
Biden is also due to meet with Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and several deputies of the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian Parliament).
The US vice president is then scheduled to address the Rada on Tuesday in a speech expected to urge Ukraine to strengthen "anti-corruption" measures. He is also expected to reaffirm the US' political support for the country amid concerns Washington's attention has turned to Syria at the expense of Ukraine.
