UK: 'I am Harry's Dad' - Fathers' rights activists scale Buckingham Palace
A pair of Fathers' rights activists breached security at Buckingham Palace in London, Sunday, to raise banners demanding more rights for fathers to see their children. The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh were reportedly not at the Royal Palace during the incident.
The activists used a ladder to scale the roof of the Queen's Gallery, a public art gallery at the Buckingham Palace, and waved a large banner reading "I am Harry's dad." Police were informed of the security breach, which occurred around 16:00 GMT, resulting in a security alert and deployment of armed police officers to the scene.
Reports claim that two parenting groups known for fathers' rights activism, called 'New Fathers 4 Justice' and 'Stop the War on Dads,' were behind the protest. Both groups have carried out similar actions in the past, including a protest outside David Cameron's Witney residence in Oxfordshire in last year.
