Monaco: Russia's suspension length from IAAF to be determined in two weeks
The President of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), Lord Sebastian Coe, announced on Thursday in Monaco that the All-Russia Athletic Federation (ARAF) has accepted their full suspension following the doping scandal revealed in early November.
Coe also said that they "are not concerned about deadlines" following a question on when the suspension to ARAF would be lifted. Coe continued that "the issue is going to be a synthesis of the conclusion of the criteria which are currently being worked up" and added that the process to determine the length of the suspension will start “within the next 10 days to two weeks”.
The Russian Federation is the first country to be banned for doping offences.
