France: Ceremony held at Strasbourg Mosque in memory of Paris attacks victims
The Strasbourg Mosque staged an open door ceremony on Friday to commemorate the victims of the Paris attacks that took place one week ago.
The mosque invited representatives from a range of faiths to speak at the ceremony. Guests at the ceremony included the president of the Strasbourg Eurometropole, Robert Hermann. Twenty soldiers were stationed at the mosque to prevent reprisal attacks taking place.
Last Friday 130 people were killed and more than 349 left injured after a series of coordinated attacks were carried out at six different locations across Paris. The, so-called, Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) has claimed responsibility for the attack.
