
Syria: Russian Su-34 targets explosives plant in Aleppo
A Russian Air Force Su-34 carried out an air strike on a plant that produces explosive devices in Aleppo province, the Russian Ministry of Defence wrote in a statement that accompanied its release of the video.
Russian airstrikes hit hundreds of militant targets in Syria over the course of the last 48 hours, Russian Ministry of Defence spokesperson Major General Igor Konashenkov announced during a press conference on Monday.
Russian aircraft performed a reported 131 combat sorties from the Hmeymim air base, engaging 237 militant targets in the Hama, Lattakia, Homs, Damascus, Aleppo and Raqqah provinces. Fortifications, underground shelters and anti-aircraft positions were among the targets reportedly hit, along with warehouses allegedly under the control of the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL).
