
Syria: Russian forces hit alleged IS targets in Tamana al-Ghab
The Russian Air Force hit so-called Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) positions in the village of Tamana al-Ghab, in the Hama Governorate, over Wednesday night and into Thursday morning. The airforce purportedly hit IS training facilities in the region.
Warplanes hit 27 targets in 22 sorties, according to the Defence Ministry.
Over 100 targets have been destroyed since the operation began on September 30, the Defence Ministry state. On Wednesday, Russia used its warships in the Caspian Sea to hit IS positions.
