      India: Merkel meets with Modi on her three-day visit to India

      German Chancellor Angela Merkel met with the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during her three-day visit to India, starting from Sunday, to discuss bilateral agreements.

      During the meeting, Modi and Merkel discussed on the infrastructure cooperation between the countries, arms sales and German companies' investments in India, especially in the pharmaceutical and the automobile sectors.

      Shortly before Merkel's flight to India, the official plane was found to have a mechanical problem, leading the chancellor to fly on a military plane.
