Around 2,000 anti-refugee protesters gathered in Gorlitz on the German-Polish border, Saturday, demanding the border be secured. Protesters attacked local and central government asylum policies, opposing the so-called "Islamisation" of Europe.

Counter protesters also gathered with "Refugees Welcome" signs, trying to block and disrupt the far-right demo. However, police intervened, arresting at least one counter-protester. No major clashes or issues were reported.
