
Germany: Police raid Berlin mosque in hunt for Islamic State recruiters
Around 400 police officers raided Ibrahim Alkhalil Mosque and seven residential apartments in Berlin, Tuesday, as part of a hunt for individuals suspected of recruiting people to fight for the Islamic State in Syria.
According to Stefan Rendlich, spokesperson of the Berlin Police, no arrests were made. The objective of Tuesday's operation is a search to find proof whether the allegations are justified. Allgedly, only one person is suspected of illegal activities.
