
Serbia: We will respect humanity of refugees - Defence Minister Gasic
During his visit to the Serbian-Hungarian border town of Horgos on Thursday, Serbian Minister of Defence Bratislav Gasic announced that his country has been "under pressure" from the migrant and refugee crisis for four months. Despite this, Gasic promised that Serbian authorities will continue respecting international law and maintain a "human relationship" with those travelling through the country
According to the Serbian defence minister, the country has "succeeded" in helping those who have entered the country due to its "good attitude." He reported that no major incidents or issues have taken place in the past four months.
Croatia has become a new major route after Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic promised to help migrants and refugees reach Western Europe. Over 7,000 people have entered the country in the past two days, resulting in Croatian Interior Minister Ranko Ostojic saying the country cannot take in any more refugees.
