01:52Russia: Putin and Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan talk bilaterial relations
Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan during his working visit to Moscow, Monday.
Sargsyan told Putin that Armenia has signed an agreement with the Russian Energy Ministry, reducing gas prices by $24 (€22.4), which means prices now stand at $165 (€147.7) per cubic metre. Armenia has also received a $200 million (€179.1 million) loan from Russia “to update the arsenal of the Armenian Armed Forces.”
Sargsyan also thanked Putin for the transfer of Russian soldier Valery Permyakov to "Armenian justice," who is suspected of murdering a family in the city of Gyumri. The two also discussed Armenia's accession to thr Eurasian Economic Union
Armenia's joining of the Eurasian Economic Union was also discussed, with Putin noting the country's "full-scale participation" in the integrational structure of the Collective Security Treaty.
This is the third time Sargsyan has visited Russia in 2015 after he met with Putin in July and participated in meetings of the BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.
