Estonia: USAF A-10 Thunderbolts soar over Estonia as NATO drills continue
The US Air Force (USAF) carried out flights using A-10 Thunderbolt aircraft at low altitudes over Estonian territory, as part of joint drills with Estonian and other NATO countries' air forces, Tuesday.
Eight A-10 Thunderbolts from the USAF arrived at the Amari air base on Saturday to take part in the military exercises. The drills will last for three weeks, and are aimed at honing a variety of techniques, including bombing and joint actions with ground forces.
The US Air Force also has plans to deploy F-22 fighters jets to Europe, as part of plans to increase NATO's presence on the continent.
