
Canada: Jane Fonda marches for climate change in Toronto
Screen legend Jane Fonda joined protesters rallying at the Jobs, Justice and the Climate March in Toronto on Sunday.
Speaking at the demonstration which was held at Queen's Park, Fonda, 77, said that "renewable energy doing away with the oil based economy will create more jobs, more democracy and more justice and I am here to support that message."
More than 10,000 people joined the protest, which took place just 3 days before the Pan American Climate Summit and an Economic Summit is due to be hosted in Toronto on July 8.
