USA: Steven Gerrard unveiled as LA Galaxy's newest addition

Former Liverpool FC captain Steven Gerrard was formally introduced as LA Galaxy's newest addition, during the team's game against Toronto FC, at the StubHub Centre in Carson, Saturday.

Gerrard, who was introduced by club president Chris Klein during half time, expressed his excitement at joining the team and his hopes of winning titles and honours.

The legendary midfielder left Liverpool FC after playing for the team for 17 years and scoring 120 goals in 504 games. Gerrard has signed an 18-month, $9 million (€8.1 million) contract with LA Galaxy and is expected to play his first game on July 11 in an International Champions Cub game against Mexico's Club America.
